Calligrapher Kang Chang Hwa (56) works as an invited artist in the 2010 Korea Art Festival which started on Dec. 2. Eleven poets who were selected specially are participating in the festival as calligrapher. Kang reproduced poems of Shin Saimdang with his own character.
Kang has been actively working as poet internationally, participating in New York Art Festival, Asia Art Festival and Beijing Olympics Art Festival.
The 2010 Korea Art Festival will be held until Dec. 13 at Kintex in Gyeonggi province. On the theme of “Beautiful mountains, rivers and people,” 3,000 poets are displaying their 5,000 artistic works.
